Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring tele monitoring skills and a CO or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Progressive Care Unit within a hospital setting, 24-bed unit,
• 5:1 patient ratios,
• Day shift staffing includes charge, 4-5 RNs, and 2-3 PCTs; night shift includes charge, 4-5 RNs, and 2 PCTs,
• Uses tele monitoring and post-op monitoring equipment,
• EMR: Meditech / CPN,
• Cares for post-op recovery patients from surgery and cath lab, including post-op ortho spine and joint patients,
• Patient population includes elective ortho, spine, and GYN surgery cases as well as elective cath lab procedures (post-PCI, post-pacemaker, ablation, cardioversion, revascularization),
• Also manages stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure patients,
• Set rate (non-titrating) cardiac drips except heparin,
• Shift schedule: 7A-7P,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required,
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required,
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital PCU experience required,
• Cardiac experience preferred,
• Prior Meditech experience preferred,
