Software Engineer, Calls Security

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and strengthen security features for FaceTime, SharePlay, Phone, and Voicemail.
• Build secure protocols, frameworks, and daemons using Swift and Objective-C.
• Perform code reviews focused on identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents.
• Collaborate across Apple teams to develop and deliver secure communications features.

Requirements

• Demonstrate solid software development and system design skills focused on secure system design.
• Have experience developing for the Apple ecosystem and proficiency in object-oriented programming with Swift or Objective-C.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Demonstrate self-directed problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations.
• Understand secure coding practices, security protocols, and encryption techniques.
• Have familiarity with peer-to-peer or client-server architectures, network protocols, and secure communications protocols handling untrusted data.
• Familiarity with cryptography standards such as Secure Frame, Integrated Encryption Scheme, or Messaging Layer Security is preferred.
