Our client is a well-established accounting firm located in sunny Cape Coral, Florida, offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a welcoming company culture. We are seeking a highly motivated, disciplined, and skilled Tax Manager who is looking for an opportunity to excel in a small firm while maintaining a work-life balance.
In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing tax returns, working closely with clients, and mentoring mid-level staff. Please note that this is an on-site position. One of the senior partners is transitioning into retirement, creating clear and rapid advancement opportunities for the right candidate.
Qualifications
- CPA or EA License Certification (Florida) preferred not required
- 7+ years of tax preparation
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, strong ethics and business conduct
- Able to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment
- Experience working for a CPA firm required
- Applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preparing financial statements and corporate tax returns (may also prepare some personal returns if necessary)
- Filing payroll tax returns and sales tax returns
- Assisting clients in resolving tax matters with the IRS
- Works as required during tax season to meet federal and state deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
