About the Position

Hi,

We are actively hiring an experienced Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical for one of our clients, a leading healthcare facility in Albuquerque, NM. This opportunity is ideal for Med/Surg nurses who thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.

You will work with adult and geriatric patients, providing comprehensive nursing care while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical
Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Location: Albuquerque, NM 87102
Pay Range: Weekly ($1500 – $1700)

Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as prescribed
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, wound care, feeding tubes, and post-surgical patients
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with facility protocols
• Float to similar units within scope of practice as needed

Pay Rate: Negotiable based on experience

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience (24 months nursing experience required for first-time travelers)
• Active BLS certification required
• Experience with IV therapy, wound care, heparin administration, and patient monitoring
• Ability to work every other weekend as required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
