SPEED S.E.J.A. #802

Health AideTo assist the students, families and staff within SPEED School District #802 in attaining and maintaining optimum health goals.Qualifications:Illinois Paraprofessional License – ELS(PARA)Certified Nurses Assistant License (CNA).Assist nursing staff in their daily dutiesFirst aid to studentsCommitment to the transdisciplinary team process.Ability to physically manage students with assistance, when needed.Ability to relate to and work with students with special needs who may present a variety of disabilities.Complete all necessary and required paperwork, Nursing & clerical skills required.Preferred:Experience in a public school setting/classroom based setting.Experience with individuals with disabilities.Experience with families and family education.Participation in continuous professional growth.Job Goals:To design, coordinate and facilitate the medical/health management issues in cooperation with team members for children and families.Percent of Time in Special Education: 100%Supervised By: Program PrincipalTerms of Employment: 180 DaysSalary: Commensurate with experienceEvaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the SPEED Governing Board and the SPEED Collective Bargaining Agreement.
