Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU / CCU)
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks (With high possibility of extension or permanent placement)

Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 3x11.5 Hours | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Pay Rate:
Local Pay: $2400.00 - $2500.00 Weekly
Traveler Pay: $3000.00 - $3100.00 Weekly (Stipend Provided)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse - Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU / CCU) for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing care to patients with acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization complications.
• Administer and titrate vasoactive intravenous medications, including pressors, inotropes, and antiarrhythmics.
• Monitor invasive hemodynamic parameters and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Provide and monitor moderate/conscious sedation during bedside procedures.
• Perform peripheral IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures.
• Monitor, interpret, and document continuous cardiac telemetry rhythms.
• Initiate appropriate interventions during cardiac emergencies and critical events.
• Develop, update, and prioritize individualized patient care plans.
• Utilize SBAR communication for safe patient handoffs and care transitions.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and recovery plans.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Active New York State Registered Nurse License with Primary Source Verification.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care or ICU experience.
• Experience with conscious sedation.
• Advanced critical care monitoring experience.
• IV insertion skills.
• Phlebotomy skills.
• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous Cardiac ICU, CVICU, or CCU experience.
