To ensure that all prepared food meets TGI Friday’s standard of excellence. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Ensure that all prepared food meets TGI Friday’s standard of excellence, follows recipe requirements, and adheres to product sensitivity and plate presentation guidelines. Keep updated on recipe changes and ensure proper execution of recipe procedures to maintain a high quality and consistent product. Keep the entire kitchen clean; stock and set up rotation. Keep prepared food continuously moving out of the kitchen. Communicate ticket times and potential problems with the service staff, kitchen staff and managers. Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of station; break down and clean station thoroughly every day. Requisition products on a timely basis. Operate and maintain equipment properly. Cleans and sanitizes throughout the shift. Ensure proper rotation of all products and stock products to par, label, daydot and sign all products; obtain manager signature on all products. Keep the immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action which may be taken. Key Decisions Influence guest experience. Follow and enforce standards of cleanliness and presentation. Manage inventory. Measures of Success Consistently fulfill the key responsibilities and accountabilities above. Guest satisfaction scores. Food quality and cost. Cleanliness and sanitation. Qualification Requirements Must be able to perform multiple tasks while maintaining required standards of operation in daily activities. Must also be able to perform duties that ensure guest satisfaction. Must produce items exactly according to recipe to ensure guest satisfaction and control food costs. Must follow food handling and sanitation procedures. Must be able to read guest orders. Must be able to hear kitchen, window person and/or manager requests in the midst of loud background noise. Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 70 lbs. The guest (friendliness, sociability): actively contribute to fun, friendly and engaging service. Understand how their role impacts the guest. Display a caring attitude toward guests. Contribute to the guest experience through knowledge of job and products. Demonstrate a service attitude by providing support to those directly serving guests. Consistently follow recipe directions to provide quality food that meets guests’ expectations. Handle special requests responsively and positively. Utilize customer feedback to improve guest experience. Communication (sociability, cooperation): keep lines of communication positive, open and productive. Pay close attention to guests’ and coworkers’ special requests to ensure accuracy. Respond positively to conflict situations and work to find appropriate solutions. Keep interaction positive and productive; avoid conveying negative messages. Share information with others to raise awareness of potential needs and concerns. Listen carefully and attentively to others without interrupting. Ask thoughtful questions to ensure proper understanding. Contribute to pre‑shift meetings by providing relevant updates and asking appropriate questions.
