Aprio is partnering with an organization in Washington, D.C. to find a Payroll Manager to lead centralized payroll operations across four distinctive institutions.What You'll Be Doing:Leading end-to-end payroll for 500+ regular, temporary, and seasonal employees across multiple institutions and statesServing as primary Paylocity system administrator — processing, reporting, and system managementPreparing payroll tax filings, 941 reconciliations, W-2s, and audit supportCoordinating garnishments, direct deposits, retirement contributions, and benefit deductionsPartnering with HR, Finance, and institutional leaders across a shared services modelIdentifying opportunities to modernize processes, strengthen controls, and improve service deliveryWhat We're Looking For:5+ years of progressive payroll administration experienceMulti-state payroll processing — 500+ employees preferredPaylocity experience strongly preferredExperience with 941 reconciliations, payroll tax filings, and audit supportMulti-institution or shared services experience a plusCPP certification a plusBachelor's degree in Accounting, xhyhwjd HR, Business, or related fieldWhy This Role:$100,000 base salaryHybrid — 2 days onsite in Washington, D.C. with path to fully remote once establishedFree parkingMission-driven environment supporting iconic educational and cultural institutionsOpportunity to modernize and truly own the payroll functionPayrollManager #Paylocity #WashingtonDC #HybridWork #PayrollJobs #NowHiring #Aprio Aprio Talent Advisory
