Staff Accountant

GENERAL DESCRIPTION Great opportunity for a Staff Accountant working within a great team in the Burlington area. looking for a skilled full cycle accountant that wants a career path working for a non-profit. Some understanding of grant accounting analyzing grant costs, to ensure they are valid and reimbursable. Plus a great all around accounting exposure through closing. JOB DUTIES:
Comp to $80,500
- Perform grant accounting.
- Prepare regular financial reports.
- Prepare invoicing for cost reimbursement.
- Coordinate with the Finance Director and the AP Manager to assure that purchase orders are properly coded to the appropriate General Ledger account.
- Assist the AP Manager with developing and maintaining an approved updated vendor list.
- Coordinate, monitor and verify per capita distribution checks.
- BS degree in finance, accounting or a related field and at least three (3) years of comparable accounting or AS degree and at least seven (7) years of comparable work experience.
- GAAP exp.
