A Brief Overview The RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician supports the NGOC Austell clinic and the providers. This outpatient full‑time day position is based on the Cobb Hospital campus. The RN will administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antineoplastics agents, hazardous drugs, and targeted therapies in the outpatient infusion center. The clinician provides safe patient care with an understanding of age‑appropriate and culturally aware needs, and serves as a clinical resource to nursing staff, operational leadership, and medical staff. Qualifications Registered Nurse license in Georgia. Oncology experience required. Knowledge of hazardous drug handling and chemotherapy safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Local travel required; float between Cobb Hospital HODs within 35 mi. What You Will Do Exemplary Practice and Outcomes Perform the full nursing process using evidence‑based practice. Deliver relationship‑based patient‑centered care tailored to cultural diversity. Partner with patients and families, using appropriate teaching methods. Use current clinical practice standards for chemotherapy and targeted therapies. Meet annual chemotherapy competence requirements (60 %). Teamwork and Collaboration Coordinate safe quality patient care and documentation. Demonstrate fiscally responsible teamwork and support recruitment/retention. Participate in performance improvement, research utilization, and shared governance. Professional Development and Initiative Complete competency assessments and mandatory education. Serve as preceptor/mentor for new nurses and other staff. Engage in continuing education and specialty oncology certification. Evidence‑Based Practice and Research Promote evidence‑based practice and nursing research. Uphold policies, procedures, and clinical competencies (e.g., Oncology Nursing Society). Collect data, pose clinical questions, and consult experts. Resources and Support Plan for patient care across the continuum. Develop protocols and procedures to achieve best practices. Support efficient use of human and material resources.
