Total Rewards Manager

Location: Houston, TX (Downtown) Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite Compensation: Target Base Salary up to $130,000 + Annual Bonus A growing, multi-location organization is seeking a Total Rewards Manager to lead benefits, compensation, compliance, and employee reward programs across a complex North American workforce. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced total rewards professional who enjoys balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day execution. The successful candidate will oversee employee benefits programs, support compensation structures and incentive plans, partner with external vendors, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide reporting and analysis to senior leadership. This role also offers the opportunity to participate in organizational growth initiatives and workforce integration projects. Key Responsibilities Lead administration and ongoing management of employee benefit programs across multiple jurisdictions. Manage annual open enrollment, renewals, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations. Ensure compliance with applicable benefits and employment regulations. Support retirement plans, fiduciary responsibilities, and related reporting requirements. Conduct benefits and total rewards cost analysis, utilization reviews, and financial modeling. Maintain and support compensation structures, salary administration, and incentive programs. Develop dashboards, metrics, reports, and presentations for executive leadership. Partner with HR, Finance, Payroll, and external vendors to optimize total rewards programs. Supervise and develop a benefits team member. Support workforce integration and harmonization initiatives associated with organizational growth. Required Qualifications Critical Requirements 8+ years of progressive experience in Benefits, Compensation, or Total Rewards. Demonstrated ownership of employee benefits programs, not solely compensation-focused experience. Must have direct experience supporting both U.S. and Canadian employee benefits programs. Strong understanding of Canadian benefits administration and retirement programs, including familiarity with RRSP plans and cross-border compliance considerations. Experience supporting employees across multiple states and multiple locations/sites. Experience with: Open enrollment administration, Vendor management and negotiations, Benefits compliance, Retirement plans, ACA and related reporting requirements, Benefits cost analysis and reporting. Advanced reporting, analytics, and presentation skills. Bachelor's degree required. Ability to work onsite in Downtown Houston. Preferred Qualifications CCP, CEBS, CBP, or related certification. Experience supporting large, geographically dispersed workforces. Exposure to organizational integration or growth-related initiatives. Prior leadership or people-management experience. Strong executive presentation and communication skills. What Will Not Be a Fit Have compensation experience without substantial benefits ownership. Lack direct experience supporting both U.S. and Canadian employee populations. Have only supported a single-state or small-scale workforce environment. Are seeking a remote or hybrid work arrangement. Prefer a primarily strategic role without hands-on operational responsibilities.
