Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations through standardized tests and observational assessments.
- Create individualized treatment plans tailored to specific communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
- Facilitate personalized speech therapy sessions that focus on improving communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to design cohesive and integrated care approaches.
- Provide educational resources for patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Support with occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's journey.
- Keep meticulous and prompt documentation according to state, federal, and institutional standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and collaboration with peers.
Education Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Required Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hire.

- Strong clinical judgment coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and understanding documentation protocols.
