As our newest acquired dealership, we're entering an exciting new chapter, bringing fresh energy, new opportunities, and renewed investment in our people and our customers. We're looking for an experienced Collision Center Manager to run the day-to-day operations of our body shop, managing technicians, estimators, and workflow to ensure vehicles are repaired accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. This role reports to the Collision Center Director and focuses on daily execution rather than department-wide strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily flow of vehicles through the collision center, from intake to delivery
• Schedule and prioritize repair jobs based on technician availability, parts status, and promised delivery dates
• Monitor work in progress to identify delays, bottlenecks, or quality issues and resolve them quickly
• Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and industry quality standards before vehicle delivery
• Conduct quality control inspections on completed repairs
• Supervise and coach collision technicians, estimators, and support staff including painters, detailers, and porters
• Assign work based on technician skill level and certification
• Conduct performance check-ins and support technician training and development
• Address day-to-day staffing needs, including scheduling and shift coverage
• Foster a safe, organized, and collaborative shop environment
• Support estimators in resolving escalated customer or insurance concerns
• Communicate directly with customers on repair status and delivery timelines when needed
• Ensure supplements and additional damage are documented and approved promptly to avoid delays
• Maintain strong working relationships with insurance adjusters and appraisers
• Track daily and weekly key performance indicators, including cycle time, touch time, and customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate repair order documentation and shop records
• Report shop performance and issues to the Collision Center Director
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and manufacturer certification standards in daily operations

• Prior experience in collision or body shop operations, with some experience in a lead or supervisory capacity
• Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, parts, and shop workflow
• Strong leadership and day-to-day team management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable working with estimating and shop management software
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• I-CAR certification a plus
• Prior experience as a Collision Center Manager at a Ford dealership or certified collision facility
• Experience managing insurance Direct Repair Program relationships
