Job Summary
W e are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Operator to support inventory management, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing and supply chain environment.
Job Description
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods within enterprise inventory management systems.
- Perform daily inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and material consumption entries.
- Execute cycle counts and support physical inventory audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
- Review and validate all inventory transactions to ensure proper system entry and record integrity.
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, quality, and condition against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation.
- Process inventory receipts and ensure timely updates to inventory systems.
- Prepare and process outbound shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and shipping documentation.
- Ensure all shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and labels, are accurate, complete, and compliant.
- Track, investigate, and resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies.
- Support production schedules by ensuring materials are available, staged, and delivered as required.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse and storage areas in accordance with 5S principles.
- Follow all company policies, safety requirements, internal controls, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Assist in training team members on inventory processes, warehouse procedures, and system transactions.
S kills Required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
- Experience maintaining inventory records and processing inventory transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with ERP systems, including SAP or similar inventory management platforms.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations.
- Experience with cycle counting and physical inventory audits.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes and documentation requirements.
- Familiarity with inventory control best practices and warehouse process improvement initiatives.
- Experience training employees on inventory procedures and warehouse systems.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
Pay Rate
- $20 - $23 per hour (Compensation will be offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
- $3 shift differential for night shift
