Role Dynamic
This role is currently slated as a substitute level instructor for the current season May 2027.

More consistent class assignments may be available in future seasons in alignment with the class needs as established by the Artistic Directors.

About New Creations
New Creations Dance Company is a 501(c)-3 Faith-based Ballet and Dance School serving Hendricks County and the surrounding region. We seek to provide quality and technical ballet, dance, and tumbling education in a non-competitive and uplifting environment.

Responsibilities
The Ballet Instructor is responsible for effective and timely class instruction for the classes and/or sessions assigned to them by the Executive Artistic Director. General responsibilities are as follows:

• Preparing for and teaching classes to students of various ages and levels experience and strength/flexibility
• Assisting in setup, tear-down, and lockup of studio facilities including proper storage of equipment, powering down all electronics, wiping down contact surfaces, opening blinds, and locking all suite and building doors as needed.
• Greeting students and families upon arrival
• Assisting with check-in, payment collection, and questions as needed
• Creating and teaching choreography for Spring Recitals &/or Performances
• Maintaining a positive, modest, and uplifting class environment consistent with NCDC’s teaching philosophy and the employee handbook
• Assisting in evaluation of students at beginning of each school year
• Other duties and expectations as assigned.
  

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Extensive training in Ballet (Lyrical and Contemporary is a plus)
• 3+ years of teaching experience
• Dance Studio-Pro or other Dance Studio software experience a plus
