Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Nashville, TN

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 34
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Staffing Description: Tech support available on both day and night shifts, with a unit secretary present from 7 AM to 7 PM.
• Equipment Used: IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Oximeters, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology.
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; two weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule.
• Floating Policy: Contract labor is the first to float, followed by rotation among staff when multiple contract staff are scheduled.
• Patient Experience Requirements: Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care, conduct bedside shift reports, and build personal connections with patients and family members.

Qualifications:

• Requested Skill Set: Med/Surg experience, ability to prioritize care, multitasking, starting IVs, basic wound care, managing surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
• Licensure: Active RN license required.
• Certifications: BLS certification required.

Dress Code: Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) are required.
