PHYSICAL THERAPIST – PRN – WEEKEND AVAILABILITY

Alamitos West Health & Rehabilitation in Los Alamitos, CA, is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist with weekend availability to join our in‑house therapy team. Schedule & Compensation PRN: Flexible schedule with weekend availability. Pay: $60–$63 per hour based on experience. Benefits Work‑life balance with a flexible schedule Strong infection control to keep staff/residents safe In‑house therapy team – job stability, growing company Option for a set schedule when covering vacations Get a call or text as early as possible in last‑minute coverage request scenarios Participate in CEU classes offered to the entire therapy team Responsibilities Effectively screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilize standardized assessments and evidence‑based practice to support clinical interventions. Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including but not limited to ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, etc. Assess patients’ progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness; modify services based on patient evaluation and referral appropriate outcomes. Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders. Effectively communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provide comprehensive discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Qualifications Licensed Physical Therapist. This position is open to PTs at all experience levels.
