Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality aluminum components.
• Read blueprints and work instructions to ensure parts are manufactured to exact specifications.
• Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to maintain quality standards.
• Make machine adjustments and troubleshoot issues to keep production running efficiently.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and follow all safety and quality procedures.

Essential Skills

• Previous CNC machining, machine operating experience, or related technical schooling.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn and grow within a manufacturing career.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CNC mills, lathes, setup, offsets, and tool changes.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Understanding of GD&T, tooling optimization, and multi-axis machining is a plus.
• Trade school training, CNC certifications, or manufacturing coursework preferred.
• Reliable work history, strong attention to detail, and commitment to producing quality parts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McHenry, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $24.38/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
