Inventory Management Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory, filing, and tracking systems for stock, supplies, equipment, and pharmacy-related materials.
• Receiving & Distribution: Receive, inspect, store, issue, and deliver supplies and equipment accurately while verifying shipments against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Inventory Tracking & Replenishment: Maintain daily records of shipments, invoices, orders, and inventory levels to identify replenishment needs and ensure adequate stock availability.
• Inventory Reconciliation: Perform complete inventory counts and cycle counts in accordance with departmental procedures, investigate discrepancies, and take appropriate steps to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Data Entry & Documentation: Perform meticulous data entry for all stock items and ensure inventory-related records, invoices, shipping documents, and other documentation are complete, accurate, and up to date.
• Shipping & Order Preparation: Prepare equipment, supplies, and pharmacy-related materials for shipment, ensuring accurate packing, labeling, documentation, and timely delivery.
• Inventory Systems: Utilize inventory management, database, spreadsheet, and other software systems to enter and maintain inventory information, view orders, monitor stock levels, and support reporting.
• Supply Flow Optimization: Assess and optimize the movement and flow of supplies through partner suppliers and internal operations to improve inventory efficiency and availability.
• Process Improvement: Identify, analyze, and address gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities within inventory processes to improve accuracy, effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare inventory reports and provide management with relevant data, insights, and recommendations regarding inventory levels, discrepancies, trends, and process improvement opportunities.
• Inventory Projects: Complete and manage special inventory projects and initiatives as assigned by the management team.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with Supply Chain Management, Pharmacy Operations, Inventory teams, internal departments, external organizations, and partner suppliers to implement best practices and process improvements.
• Customer & Team Support: Provide professional customer service and maintain strong working relationships with employees at all levels, external partners, and other stakeholders.
• Training & Professional Development: Participate in the company's training program and complete required coursework, training, and preparation activities associated with pursuing Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure.
• Licensure Preparation: Successfully complete applicable testing and registration requirements necessary to obtain Pharmacy Technician licensure in accordance with state and regulatory requirements.
• Compliance & Safety: Perform all assigned duties in accordance with company policies, pharmacy procedures, departmental standards, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Until licensure is obtained, duties will be limited to those permitted for an unlicensed employee in the applicable jurisdiction.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience: 24+ years of inventory management, warehouse, supply chain, pharmacy inventory, or a related operational environment preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Inventory Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate inventory records, perform physical and cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and manage inventory documentation.
• Technology Proficiency: Proficiency with word processing, database, spreadsheet, inventory management, and other business software applications.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement practical solutions.
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels, external organizations, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Customer Service: Demonstrated customer service skills and a professional, responsive approach to supporting internal and external stakeholders.
• Organization & Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail, organization, documentation, and data accuracy.
• Independence & Teamwork: Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.

• Pharmacy Technician Training: Willingness and ability to complete the company's Pharmacy Technician training program and pursue applicable Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure.
• Licensure Eligibility: Ability to meet applicable state eligibility requirements for Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure and complete required testing within the expected timeframe.
