Data EngineerLocation: Rosemead, CADuration: 6 monthsPosition: Data EngineerMust-Have Technical/Functional Skills:SAP DatasphereSAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)SAP BWRoles & Responsibilities:Evaluate and rationalize analytics demand by collaborating with business stakeholders to assess analytics and reporting requirements.Perform feasibility analysis, define KPIs, and recommend optimal analytics solutions aligned with business objectives and enterprise data strategy.Design end-to-end data and analytics architectures across:SAP DatasphereSAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)PalantirPower BISnowflakeOther enterprise data and analytics platformsEnsure seamless integration, scalability, performance, and governance across analytics platforms.Define analytics platform strategy and establish decision frameworks for selecting appropriate tools based on:Business use casesData complexityGovernance requirementsTotal cost of ownership (TCO)Evaluate and recommend analytics platforms such as SAC, Power BI, embedded analytics, and self-service analytics.Drive data governance and data product enablement across the organization.Define and implement:Data modelsBusiness glossaryMetadata managementData lineageSecurity standardsData governance standardsEnable reusable data products and self-service analytics capabilities.Provide architectural oversight for data and analytics initiatives.Conduct solution reviews, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and architecture assessments.Guide development teams in implementing scalable data and analytics solutions.Develop and drive technology roadmaps for modernization from legacy reporting platforms to SAP Datasphere, SAP SAC, and Power BI ecosystems.Generic Managerial Skills:Stakeholder Management & Business Consulting:Engage with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and analytics needs.Facilitate analytics demand discussions and prioritize business requirements.Translate business requirements into actionable data and analytics roadmaps.Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:Lead multidisciplinary teams across data engineering, BI, reporting, and business functions.Drive cross-functional alignment, decision-making, and successful solution delivery.Coordinate with technical and business teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.Strategic Planning & Governance:Establish and maintain analytics governance frameworks.Prioritize analytics and data initiatives based on business value.Manage project risks, budgets, and resource utilization.Drive continuous improvement to maximize business value from analytics investments.
