Located in the heart of downtown Washington, DC, Casa Teresa celebrates the warmth, generosity, and traditions of Spain. As a Host / Guest Relations team member, you will create the first and last impression for every guest who walks through our doors. We are seeking hospitality professionals who take genuine pride in making every guest feel welcomed, recognized, and cared for from the moment they arrive until they depart.

Position Summary

At Casa Teresa, hospitality is more than service—it is the foundation of everything we do. Our hosts set the tone for the entire dining experience by making every guest feel genuinely welcomed, recognized, and appreciated. We are looking for individuals who take pride in creating memorable first impressions and delivering gracious, authentic hospitality with every interaction. As a Host / Guest Relations team member, you are the face and voice of Casa Teresa. You are entrusted with welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating, and maintaining the rhythm of the dining room with confidence, professionalism, and grace.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly and professionally.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and walk-ins using SevenRooms.
• Balance seating to support smooth service.
• Escort guests to tables and present menus according to Casa Teresa standards.
• Answer phones promptly and professionally.
• Communicate guest preferences, allergies, celebrations, and seating requests to the service team.
• Provide accurate wait-time expectations.
• Escort private event guests to their event space.
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand, entrance, coat check, and menus.
• Complete opening and closing host responsibilities.
• Maintain menu and beverage knowledge.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous host or hospitality experience preferred.
• Upscale/fine dining experience is a plus.
• Experience with SevenRooms, OpenTable, or Resy preferred.
• Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift up to 25 pounds.
• Work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
