Senior Applied Scientist, Selling Partner Selection Success

The Selling Partner Selection Success org is looking for a Senior Applied Scientist to lead us on our mission to empower sellers to grow their business and provide a great customer experience. Key job responsibilities Use machine learning and AI techniques to create scalable seller-facing solutions Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of Amazon's historical business data to help automate and optimize key processes Design, development and evaluation of highly innovative models Work closely with software engineering teams to drive real-time model implementations and new feature creations Communicate with technical and business leadership to influence the scientific directions and advocate for the solutions Basic Qualifications 4+ years of applied research experience 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning Preferred Qualifications Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc. Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc. Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity, with the ability to craft effective prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs in a professional setting Experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services to drive business value Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
