Float Teller

Summary This position will fulfill the duties of a teller as described below by traveling as needed between multiple offices. The teller will be based at our Middlefield Main location, but may travel to all other branches in the district as needed. The teller processes a variety of customer transactions at a teller window, recognizes customer needs, and recommends products, services, or assistance of other bank employees or departments to consistently deliver a superior level of customer service. Responsibilities Operate and balance a terminal and cash drawer daily. Accept and process savings, checking, Holiday Savings, loan payments, SDB rental payments, tax deposits, sells money orders/official checks, and any type of cash withdrawal. Accept checks for cashing in accordance with FNB check handling procedures. Apply strong knowledge of bank products and services, recognizing customer needs, and cross‑sell bank products. Participate in the bank’s referral and incentive program, and utilize applicable technology and/or programs to effectively demonstrate results. Work consistently to achieve personal and branch set goals. Participate and successfully complete all required training courses. Willingly be flexible with a strong desire to create a work environment conducive to teamwork. Assist the vault teller with various duties associated with money shipments/orders, etc. Perform additional branch duties and responsibilities outside the realm of processing transactions. Handle all cash, customer transactions, and customer information in accordance with FNB Security Policy and Procedures. Motivate outbound sales calls to current and prospective clients. Flexibility with work schedules to accommodate branch staffing requirements to service needs. Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all customer business and personal information confidential. Accept responsibilities and projects as assigned by a supervisor to add value to Farmers National Bank. Work in a team environment with coworkers and the public in a positive manner. Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti‑Money Laundering procedures, and maintain compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. Maintain regular, predictable attendance as an essential requirement. Complete all other duties as assigned. Travel Requirements Because this position requires travel with little or no advance notice, personal and reliable transportation is required. Education & Experience High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate. Proven cash handling experience. Basic computer skills and knowledge, use of calculator, typewriter, phone, fax machine, and other office equipment. Customer service and/or sales experience at any level.
