Contract | Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a cardiac stepdown/PCU unit, including heart cath recovery, cardiac drip management, and post-op open-heart patients
• Care for cardiac and med-surg stepdown patients across varying acuity levels
• Work an expected schedule that includes every 3rd weekend and coverage for one holiday, subject to change based on census and staffing needs
• Float to other units during low census or coverage needs, as required
• Provide care to ventilated patients on a rare basis when patient needs and staffing requirements necessitate it; candidates must be comfortable doing so
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR

• Active RN license valid in the state of Ohio
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of cardiac stepdown experience, including heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, and post-op open-heart patients
• Experience with open-heart patient care is required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required

• Experience caring for ventilated patients in a stepdown or progressive care setting
• Familiarity with med-surg stepdown workflows and multi-patient management
• Demonstrated adaptability in floating to varied units within an acute care environment
