Service Engineer

Overview Valmet is seeking a Field Service Expert / Service Engineer to support QCS/DCS systems in the pulp and paper industry and power generation in the Carolina region. Responsibilities Conduct customer update meetings and provide continuous training to operations staff. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for Valmet QCS and DCS equipment. Execute system upgrades, update control logic, sensor correlations, and control tuning. Provide remote phone & internet support and generate post‑visit reports. Travel within the region as needed; occasional weekend work may be required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Chemical, or Paper engineering. Relevant experience in instrumentation and controls. Understanding of cyber‑security fundamentals. Experience in a QCS/DCS/quality support role with virtual systems. Proficiency with Windows, networking, Word, and Excel. Strong fault‑finding skills, attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 30lbs.
