Application Architect

The Application Architect will provide technical leadership and strategic direction for both Java and Data Engineering teams. This senior role focuses on architecture and strategy while offering hands‑on guidance to ensure high-quality solutions. The position involves designing scalable systems, reviewing code, tuning data pipelines, and supporting migration initiatives. Key Responsibilities Define and implement application architecture and technical strategy (70% architecture, 30% hands‑on guidance). Provide technical direction to development teams across Java and Data Engineering domains. Review code, analyze logs, and optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability. Lead efforts for data integration and migration from PCF to on‑prem environments. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver end‑to‑end solutions for internal and external users. Ensure adherence to best practices in architecture, security, and compliance. Required Qualifications Strong expertise in Java (Spring, REST) and Data Engineering. Experience with event‑driven architecture and Azure services (Kubernetes/AKS). Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tuning and modern DevOps practices. Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide technical teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial services.
