Viridian Staffing’s Client is seeking a Safety & Compliance Manager to lead workplace safety and regulatory compliance initiatives across its operations. This position is a full-time, on-site role, located about an hour outside of Peoria, Illinois. Some travel across operations in multiple states is required.

• Lead workplace safety, regulatory compliance, facility audit, and environmental health and safety initiatives.
  

• Conduct safety inspections, compliance audits, and hazard assessments.
  

• Develop and maintain OSHA-compliant safety programs, employee training, and emergency response plans.
  

• Support regulatory inspections, licensing requirements, investigations, and corrective action plans.
  

• Manage the Illinois product registration process.
  

• Develop and update SOPs, work instructions, policies, and compliance documentation.
  

• Partner with employees and leaders across multiple operational departments.
  

• Travel regularly between company facilities.
  

• At least 3 years of experience in safety, compliance, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
  

• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  

• The ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  

• Experience conducting audits, inspections, safety training, or compliance reviews.
  

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  

• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel between facilities.
  

• The professionalism and judgment required to handle confidential information.
  

Experience in cannabis or another regulated manufacturing, agricultural, pharmaceutical, or food production environment is preferred but not required. OSHA training, familiarity with Illinois cannabis regulations, and experience with Metrc are also preferred.

This position requires regular on-site attendance and the ability to move throughout cultivation, manufacturing, warehouse, and retail environments. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and perform activities such as walking, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, and reaching during inspections and facility walkthroughs.

Compensation: $75,000-$100,000/year
