Role Description The Restaurant Manager role at Newk’s Waugh Chapel is a full-time, on-site position located in Odenton, MD. This role oversees daily restaurant operations, including managing staff schedules, monitoring food quality, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. The Restaurant Manager coaches and supports team members, leads pre-shift meetings, and helps with hiring, training, and performance feedback. Day-to-day responsibilities include driving customer satisfaction, resolving guest concerns, managing cash handling, coordinating catering orders, and supporting local events. The manager also helps maintain inventory levels, adheres to food safety and health regulations, and collaborates with ownership to meet sales and profitability goals. Qualifications Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with a commitment to hospitality. Experience in Hiring, training, and leading team members in a restaurant or retail environment. Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and local partners. Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including food safety, quality standards, and fast-casual service. Previous supervisory or management experience in restaurants or hospitality preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in operations and guest service.
