We are seeking an MD Receptionist to provide professional front desk support for primary care, specialty care, pediatric, and other patients in a mixed patient population. Reporting to the Practice Manager, this role will greet patients, manage communications, coordinate appointments and referrals, verify insurance, and maintain accurate patient information using EHR and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients at the front desk.
• Answer and manage incoming phone calls.
• Schedule patient appointments using scheduling software.
• Coordinate external, insurance-authorized, and other referrals.
• Verify insurance information and assist with related processes.
• Register patients and maintain accurate demographic information.
• Update medical records and complete data entry in the EHR.
• Manage patient messages and provide general front desk support.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in medical reception.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with electronic health records and scheduling software.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and patient registration.
• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Strong telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
• Accurate data entry and effective multitasking abilities.
