Utility Locator

Compensation $21.50 hourly. Starting rate ranges from $21.50 per hour for new locators to $29.50 per hour for those with substantial prior locating experience. Your Responsibilities as a Locator Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems. Thoroughly search for underground utilities in designated areas, accurately mark locations, complete necessary documentation, and photograph each locate. Work full‑day, full‑time positions with a 48‑hour turnaround on many locates, requiring overtime, weekend, and on‑call shifts, including nights and weekends. What We Need from You (Our Requirements) Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Proficiency with technology. Available to work overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts as needed. Able to pass a drug screen (safety‑sensitive position). Valid driver's license and safe driving record. Able to work in confined spaces; walk, bend, lift up to 75 lbs. Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities. Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps, and prints.
