Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler Job Description

Join a leading global company in the construction industry as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler. This role involves working with building materials across our expansive manufacturing and warehouse facility, ensuring efficient handling and processing of materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up forklifts and occasionally sit-down forklifts to move materials.
• Perform frequent heavy lifting of 50 lbs or more.
• Allocate 60% of work to forklift operation and 40% to manual labor tasks.
• Pull and prepare orders for shipment.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments efficiently.
• Load and unload pallets.
• Pack shipping containers and/or product bags.
• Utilize RF scanners for tracking orders and documenting products.
• Ensure accurate inventory counts.
• Engage in general labor and housekeeping duties.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating stand-up forklifts.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs or more.
• Experience in order pulling and packing.
• Competence in using RF scanners and inventory management systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with sit-down forklifts is preferred but not required.
• Capability to perform computer data entry.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing and warehouse facility. The role involves a second shift from 2 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays for overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.90 - $19.90/hr.
