Food Service Worker

Responsible for all duties related to the preparation and serving of student meals and snacks (daily). Adheres to the National Breakfast, Lunch, and Snack Programs guidelines and requirements in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. Provides excellent customer service to all. May be required to leave the main work site on occasion for meetings, workshops, and trainings, etc.

Job Duties / Accountabilities:

• Distribution of monthly menus to students.
• Completes weekly projections and ordering of meals, snacks, and supplies.
• Shares responsibility for proper receiving and storage of products upon delivery.
• Maintains accurate production and inventory data. Reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Prepares and distributes meals and snacks following local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Assists Lead with performing and documenting sanitation checks/verifications as required by law.
• Inputs and scans data into computer for state reimbursement and meal/milk daily counts. Fulfills all responsibilities associated with state reporting of school breakfast program.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with administration and support staff.
• Must be able to work well with limited supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience / Knowledge:

• Minimum of two (2) years experience in a position of responsibility in the Food Service industry and Customer Service (preferred).
• Computer proficiency required. Knowledge of district and department software programs preferred.

Benefits: Eligible for health, dental, vision insurance. Pay range starts at $21,708.69. Actual salary dependent upon experience and certifications.
