Intelligence Group Manager

The Intelligence Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department to drive efforts to prevent, monitor and respond to information/data breaches and cyber‑attacks. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the execution of Information Security directives and activities in alignment with Citi’s data security policy. Responsibilities Leading intelligence analysis of complex security and fraud matters, using advanced open‑source intelligence resources and approved tradecraft Applying and executing the intelligence cycle Strategic and operational qualitative analysis of complex problem sets Project management coordination and balancing multiple competing priorities Building productive engagement models with internal and external stakeholders Identifying intelligence gaps and developing innovative intelligence‑driven solutions Developing and delivering high‑quality written products and oral intelligence briefings to senior decision makers Leading and managing a multidisciplinary team of analysts, including hiring, training and mentoring Managing sub‑programs: oversight of people, vendors, case/project assignments, final product approval, and program reporting Managing intelligence collection capabilities, identifying and vetting new and innovative intelligence sources and methodologies, using multiple intelligence concepts for collection and validation of both raw and processed information Partnering with Citi stakeholders, business partners and external colleagues on open‑source methodologies and tools for finding disparate data Delivering detailed and professional briefings on advanced analytics capabilities, resources and tradecraft Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations while applying sound ethical judgment and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency Qualifications Minimum 10+ years of experience in program management, security and open‑source intelligence analysis, and stakeholder engagements Proven record of accomplishment in helping business partners understand control needs and driving the impact of the analytical assessment Experience utilizing visualization software applications, specifically link analysis tools such as Palantir, Semantica Pro, Link Explorer, I‑2 or ESRI Demonstrated ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data with strong analytical techniques Self‑starter and resourceful individual with experience operating in fast‑paced and dynamic operational settings Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight while producing high‑quality analysis Education Bachelor’s/University degree (Master’s degree preferred) Additional Responsibilities Program Development: develop and govern the program’s strategic direction, capabilities, staffing and reporting Hands‑On Leadership: personally handle 10‑15 of the most complex, urgent and challenging intelligence requests each year Fraud Focus: apply extensive experience in fraud and scams that could impact financial institutions and their customers Partnership: lead the open‑source intelligence partnership with the Citi Fraud Fusion Center Data & Technology: ensure proper management and protection of sensitive data; identify and implement new technology and tools to enhance analytic capabilities; identify and vet emerging risks, including analysis of deep and dark web data Team Management: oversee a globally dispersed team, including staff in remote locations, and manage continuous project execution for all required deliveries Communication: employ developed communication and diplomacy skills to exchange potentially complex or sensitive information with high‑level executive partners Additional Qualifications Minimum of ten years of experience in banking and finance (preferred), investigations or cyber fraud threat monitoring Demonstrable experience developing program capabilities, governance and strategy Expert‑level familiarity with information gathering on a global basis, including commercial data aggregators, deep and dark web and social media Expertise with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint) to solve analytical problems and deliver dynamic intelligence reports Education: Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) Benefits and Location Primary Location: NC-CHARLOTTE (BALLANTYNE) or Tampa, Florida (office‑based). This is a full‑time, senior management position. Salary range: $145,840.00 – $218,760.00.
