Specialty Lab Assistant-Pathology

Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for pathology work at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and prepare clinical lab specimens for testing
- Perform data entry and scanning of specimen and patient information
- Monitor lab equipment functionality and perform routine maintenance
- Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and maintain work area cleanliness
- Complete administrative logs and follow all Standard Operating Procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years medical, lab, or production experience (preferred)
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking capability
- Pass standardized color blindness test
