JOB SUMMARY

The Front Desk Agent is the face of the property at arrival and departure, delivering a warm, efficient, and personalized welcome to every guest. This role manages check‑in and check‑out, reservations and room assignments, and guest inquiries across the front desk, reservations, and PBX functions. The Front Desk Agent resolves guest needs with care and accuracy and contributes directly to guest satisfaction and loyalty scores. Working closely with Housekeeping, Bell Services, and Guest Services, this position ensures a seamless arrival‑to‑departure experience.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Language requirements are confirmed by property at the time of posting. Strong customer service and computer skills. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on occupancy. Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Previous front desk or guest service experience in a hotel or resort. Experience with a property management system.

FUNDAMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Welcome guests warmly and complete check‑in and check‑out efficiently and accurately. Assign rooms and manage reservations, upgrades, and special requests. Answer and route calls professionally through the PBX and communications functions. Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously. Process payments, post charges, and handle cash and credit transactions accurately. Coordinate with Housekeeping and Bell Services on room readiness and guest arrivals. Promote loyalty program enrollment and resort amenities. Communicate accurate information about the property, services, and the local area. Maintain the security and confidentiality of guest information and keys. Follow all cash handling, audit, and safety procedures. Log and follow up on guest requests and service recovery. Perform other duties as requested by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Stand for the majority of an eight hour shift at the front desk. Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Perform repetitive computer and keyboard tasks.
