Mental Health Clinician

Job Summary and Responsibilities The Mental Health Clinician provides high–quality outpatient mental health services and in‑home counseling for children and their families. Working under the supervision of a licensed clinical supervisor and in accordance with the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners, you will contribute to our Behavioral Health Assessment Team by providing virtual mental health support. Your role will involve diagnosing, assessing, case‑managing, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and utilization review to help individuals experience mental health needs and collaborate with team members to facilitate appropriate care. To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical judgment, a compassionate approach, and the ability to work effectively in a virtual healthcare environment. Responsibilities Conduct in‑home counseling visits, psychotherapy sessions, case management, and comprehensive assessments as per contract requirements and demonstrating knowledge of psychopathology and effective treatment/intervention techniques. Co‑lead one or more therapeutic or support groups for clients as required by the agency. Attend and participate in TDMs, MCPC meetings, and IEPs to assist in determining a comprehensive plan for the child/children involved in the referral. Complete a comprehensive assessment of each family member’s needs and, in collaboration with an inter‑agency/inter‑disciplinary team, develop a family service plan that addresses family needs and child safety issues. Facilitate and monitor child/family progress toward goal attainment and child safety as outlined in the service plan. Provide referrals, advocacy, support, and accompaniment to various social service agencies as needed. Job Requirements Required A minimum of one year’s experience in an academic internship delivering child welfare and outpatient mental health services. Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field. Valid registration with the CA Board of Behavioral Science Examiners as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Associate Social Worker, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, or registration with the Board of Psychology as a Registered Psychologist within 45 days of employment. LCSW, LSW, or LMFT/C registration within 60 days of employment. Completion of Fire Safety training within 90 days. Location Los Angeles, California #J-18808-Ljbffr
