Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a level III trauma center located in the scenic region of northwest New Mexico. This 26-week contract position involves providing emergency healthcare services in a fast-paced environment, supporting a patient population with a variety of acute and chronic conditions. The role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-quality trauma and emergency care.

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN licensure, ADN degree, ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications from the American Heart Association, 2 years of experience in emergency department settings, and current licensure in the state or ability to obtain.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation in emergency care; familiarity with trauma, stroke, and cardiac protocols.
• Additional Information: The emergency department includes a main area with 48 beds and flex space, utilizing equipment such as Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle, Istat Point-of-Care testing, and Ultrasound Guided IV. The unit has a social worker and an educator assigned to support clinical staff. The patient population primarily consists of geriatric, adult, and patients with ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and other acute conditions. Provider must be comfortable working in a team nursing model and pod system.
