Salary: Commensurate with Experience

Responsible for operation and programming computer-controlled machine tools such as lathes, mills and grinders as well as other production equipment, as needed, to produce parts required to feed production.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret specifications from prints, sketches, planning sheets and/or technical drawings to determine materials, setup procedures, and fabrication methods required to fabricate parts.
• Set up CNC Lathe, write and test programs, make adjustments for each job.
• Set up other machining equipment, as job requires, and adjust as necessary to ensure accuracy.
• Operate machines, keeping an eye out for any defects or issues.
• Setup and operate other production or fabrication equipment, as needed, which could include saws, iron workers, press brakes, etc.
• Independently manage workload and deadlines to ensure production needs are met.
• Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy.
• Pack and transport finished pieces.
• Perform simple routine preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Accurately complete paperwork, as required.
• Maintain equipment and working area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Adhere to all safety requirements when performing work.

Skills and Qualifications

• Background and Experience
  • Experience with CNC Lathes, Milling Machines, and Drill Presses is required
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools i.e.: drills, basic hand tools, grinders, cutting tools, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand CAD drawings
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift is required

• 6:00am 4:30pm, Monday Thursday; overtime potential as production demands
