Conduct assessments of current processes to identify or target problem areas, including development of JSA's. Develop and implement process improvements and conduct necessary training to affected employees. Keep affected employees abreast of OSHA and EPA requirements and changes. Gather statistical information and relate this information to Plant Management and others by using reports or presentations. Work with engineers or outside vendors as needed during installation of new equipment so that safety and environmental features and procedures are in place and understood. Document improvements using lean tools such as Waste Elimination Improvement forms (WEI's). Complete required audits and reports regarding safety and environmental compliance, working directly with company Safety and Environmental Engineers as required. Conduct follow up studies to ensure new process improvements are working and being followed. Coordinate management and shipment of hazardous materials. Coordinate projects including TPM and Kaizen events You’ll need to have: Bachelor’s Degree relating to Occupational Safety, Environmental Management or similar field. Certification in Environmental Compliance (CECM) or related experience. Experience in manufacturing and safety (preferred). Strong attention to detail and ability to identify hazards. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to design and implement effective training programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
