Medical AssistantWhen you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives.Location: Mount Auburn OBGYN – Waltham, MassachusettsSchedule: Full-time Monday through FridayAbout the Role: Join Mount Auburn OBGYN in Waltham as a Medical Assistant supporting patients throughout their obstetric and gynecologic care.This hands-on clinical role includes rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, performing phlebotomy, administering injections as directed, assisting with procedures, managing specimens, and coordinating follow-up care. You may also provide administrative support when staffing needs require it.What You'll DoWelcome patients, identify their needs, and prepare them for visitsReview medical records and document chief complaints and vital signsPerform phlebotomy and assist with specimen collectionAdminister medications and injections as directed by the providerPrepare equipment and assist during clinical proceduresExplain preparation instructions for tests and proceduresComplete lab requisitions accurately and track outstanding resultsTriage patient calls and communicate messages to providersProcess prescriptions and communicate test results under provider directionSchedule special procedures and coordinate referrals and pre-certificationsReview cancellations and no-shows with providers and reschedule patients as clinically indicatedClean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and clinical equipmentRestock exam rooms and maintain supply inventoriesProvide front-desk or secretarial support when neededCross-train and float to other practices as requiredWhat Success Looks LikeComfortable performing phlebotomy and administering injectionsOrganized and accurate when managing specimens and laboratory resultsAble to balance clinical care, patient communication, and administrative tasksCompassionate and professional with patientsAttentive to detail and committed to following throughFlexible and willing to cross-train or help other team membersComfortable working in an active outpatient OBGYN practiceCommitted to patient safety, confidentiality, and OSHA standardsRequired Qualifications:High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Health Science preferred.License Medical Assistant Certificate preferred., or Registration Certified Nursing Assistant preferred., or Certificate 1 EMT Basic License preferred., or Certificate 2 Phlebotomy Certificate preferred.0-1 years related work experience required.Demonstrated Medical Assistant (MA) competencies within one year of hire.Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.Preferred Qualifications:Certified Medical AssistantPay Range: $21.00 - $28.26The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
