Unit Information: Cardiac Telemetry Unit

Number of Beds: 25

Number of Staff: Day Shift - 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, 1 Unit Secretary, 2-3 Technicians Night Shift - 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, 1 Technician

Patient Ratios: 4:1

Type of Equipment: EKG Machine, Hoyer Lift, LifePak, EMR Meditech

Typical hiring profile: Must possess the required skills, as candidates without them will not be considered for the role. Sets priorities and modifies patient care in response to changing conditions. Utilizes problem-solving skills and exhibits good judgment. Makes appropriate and timely notifications to physicians regarding patient condition changes.

Most cardiac procedures are conducted in the Cath Lab, not on the unit.

Dress Code: Scrub color/attire - navy

Weekends and On-Call: Every 3rd Friday and Saturday 19:00 - 07:00, plus one additional Friday or Saturday each schedule. Assistance will be needed during Halloween, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas night.
