POSITION: Support Staff
DEPARTMENT: Support Staff
REPORTS TO: Outpatient Director/ Outpatient Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

1. BASIC FUNCTION

Act as the first point of contact and greets all visitors to the agency and directs them to the appropriate Department and staff within our facility.

B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Greets clients, patients, and visitors to our facility, directing them to the appropriate department/area within the facility and the appropriate staff requested.

• Answers telephone, take messages and route calls to appropriate staff. Refers phone calls for physicians to the Executive Director during the absence of the Outpatient Supervisors and nurses.
• Check all clients in and out of appointments. Verify demographic information and update information as needed.
• Collect all co-pays.
• Maintain sign in procedure for accuracy.
• Reminder calls for all Doctor appointments for the next day.
• Sending and Receiving Medical Records
• Running EVS
• Attend staff meetings, department meetings and complete all trainings required
• Other Duties as assigned.

C. REQUIREMENTS

High School graduate with at least three (3) years’ experience in a professional (health care preferred) office environment. Computer literacy required. Valid PA driver’s license. Successful completion of all required clearances; PA criminal background, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprinting.

D. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• General office setting
• Sitting, standing, reaching, bending for extended periods of time
