With unparalleled views of Central Park, the Hudson River, and the most famous skyline in the world, 50 West 66th Street is destined to be an instant New York icon.To learn more, visit a Handyperson, you will be responsible for:Providing operational and maintenance support for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.Performing general maintenance for residential units and the rest of the building, such as:PaintingDrywall RepairCarpentry WorkLight Bulb ReplacementsPlumbingEquipment RepairMaintaining the proficiency of fire, life, health, and safety systems.Delivering 5-star service to residents, guests, and fellow team members.Performing other duties as assigned.Requirements:If you:Have a high school diploma or GED and a vocational/technical background.Have at least 2 years of experience working with basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.Can perform painting, carpentry, and finish work.Have worked with fire, life, health, and safety systems.Communicate well with residents regarding the status of their maintenance requests.Maintain confidentiality of guest and resident information.Certifications including:(Z-95) Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems in Shelters and Similar Facilities(P-98) Fuel Oil Piping and Storage in Buildings (Supervision of Fuel-Oil Piping & Storage in Buildings)(P-99) Low-Pressure Oil Bruner Operator (Supervision of Low-Pressure Boilers)(A-35) Operation & Maintenance of Air Compressors(S-12) Citywide Sprinkler Systems (Supervision & Maintenance)(S-13) Citywide Standpipe Systems (Supervision & Maintenance)Then you may be a great fit for this position! Previous experience working in a luxury hotel or residential environment is a plus! Experience with Building Management Systems and a basic knowledge of computer programs will make your application stand out.
