Location Description
Michael Foods, Inc. located in Gaylord, Minnesota is Minnesota's Healthy Heartland! Gaylord is located in south central Minnesota about an hour west of the Twin Cities and 35 minutes from Mankato, Hutchinson, and New Ulm. As the County Seat, Gaylord is the "Hub of Sibley County." Our location produces liquid egg, hardcook egg, and precooked egg such as scrambled, patties and omelets.
Responsibilities
SUMMARY : The Maintenance Technical Training Lead provides both Maintenance and Reliability training services within the plant, championing executional excellence and asset health improvement efforts. The Maintenance Technical Training Lead will ensure results while partnering with the MFI ARM team, plant maintenance team personnel, plant operational team, and all other plant support teams members for success. The Maintenance Technical Training Lead will partner with the maintenance workflow process team and will ensure capability leading to work orders for plant assets in the CMMS backlog are being planned and scheduled effectively. The Maintenance Technical Training Lead will work with technicians to ensure capability, leading to scheduled work orders being properly executed, followed through, documented and value of the job is captured and reported. They will promote, execute, mentor, and coach excellence in preventive and corrective maintenance practices. The Maintenance Technical Training Lead will become a resource to the plant who constantly focuses on improving the operating condition of equipment via improved skill sets and performance of the maintenance team. This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. This role must be available to work scheduled work times, weekends, and holidays, as necessary. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead competence based continuous improvement efforts for maintenance team members to ensure personal safety, quality, delivery, and cost, are continuously being improved to achieve company objectives. Engage and develop the asset care team members to deliver expected levels of reliability. Be an active member who contributes to the advancement of the MFI & ARM culture.
Train and champion Precision Maintenance ® techniques ensuring procedural compliance and that job tolerances are met
Identify, develop, justify, and implement reliability and maintenance training programs aimed at "plant specific" equipment and processes
Responsible for identifying, coordinating, and facilitating maintenance and reliability training for team personnel
Lead / assist craftsman during maintenance OJT assignments
Lead technical troubleshooting tasks while assisting other plant personnel in a teaching environment
Train preventive and corrective maintenance tasks with excellence
Train technical personnel to utilize MFI approved CMMS to manage, document, and support reliability reporting and decision making. This will be accomplished through the guidance of MFI ARM standards.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records (i.e., SAP data, training documentation, etc..).
Provides input for root cause analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance training opportunities to create an environment of continuous asset reliability improvement.
Promote, and foster Michael Foods culture, values, and principles.
Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviors. Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
Adheres to Quality work practices, follows GMP's, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
Always ensures required regulatory compliance.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
Associate's degree or two-year technical certificate, or experience which demonstrates technical aptitude preferred
3 to 5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician preferred
Trained and competent in MFI MTL1, MTL2, & MTL3 skills preferred
MFI People Leadership Essentials or equivalent training preferred
Active Society of Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP) membership preferred
Prior experience in SAP preferred.
Prior experience as a technical trainer preferred
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with superb time management skills.
Excellent administrative and follow-up skills to achieve successful maintenance and repair programs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature. The pay range for this position is $31.00 to $41.25 per hour.
