Clerical SpecialistDate Revised - May 2020Status - Non-ExemptSalary Level - Classified Salary Schedule (D)Work Year - 10 monthsQualifications:High school diploma or vocational school graduateAbility to type with reasonable accuracy within a minimum of 45-50 words per minuteMinimum of one year of experience in a general clerical experienceBilingual in Navajo and English preferredComputer and general office skills neededValid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance CardOther qualifications as the Governing Board may deem appropriateJob Goal:To perform specialized clerical work in the coding, recoding and maintenance of attendance records and to perform related duties as may be assigned.Essential Duties:Maintains student attendance and other related records through computerized system; complies relevant information as needed.Prepares student-related reports for the principal's and District's use, including attendance summaries, enrollment reports and census counts.Answer phone or personal inquires from parents.Provides information related to school attendance policies and procedures.Secures requested information; keeps records of materials that are removed; traces missing records.Clears files at designated intervals under a supervisor's direction.Assists school registrar as directed by the building principal.Handles registration and withdrawal of students and monitors teacher attendance.Completes various attendance reports as required.Performs other duties as assigned.Certificates/Licenses - NonePhysical Effort - Physically comfortable office environmentWorking Environment - Normal office conditionsSupervision Given - NoneSupervision Received - Principal
