Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Ocala, a vibrant community known for its friendly atmosphere and beautiful landscapes. The center operates Monday through Friday, with flexible schedules available from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, creating a collaborative and supportive environment to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments to understand their functional limitations and rehabilitation needs.
• Formulating and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving specific rehabilitation goals.
• Providing directed care through a combination of active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, and gait training.
• Educating patients and their families about therapy techniques, home exercise programs, and lifestyle modifications to enhance their recovery.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and to optimize the patient experience.
• Utilizing evidence-based techniques, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to treat orthopedic conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on outpatient orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with a diverse client base, providing tailored interventions to enhance their recovery and enable them to return to their daily activities and sports.

Qualifications

The requirements for this role include:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid and active State Physical Therapy license.
• At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist, specifically in an orthopedic setting is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective interactions with patients and team members alike.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and proficiency in developing customized treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates possessing board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy will be highly regarded. Experience with specific techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and specialized orthopedic assessment protocols is a plus.
