Senior Accountant

We are hiring for an Accountant role with growth opportunity and competitive pay! Role Responsibilities Review and reconcile accounting transactions for accuracy and completeness. Execute period-end responsibilities while ensuring compliance with processing deadlines. Support the Accounting Department through ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate effectively with departments such as Administration, Project Management, Estimating, and Site Work Crews. Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve financial discrepancies promptly. Assist with clerical parts of closing, such as reconciliations (bank, vendor accounts, payable accounts, equipment activity). Generate reports for different parts of the company's divisions. Facilitate check runs. Work in the General Ledger (GL). Perform job costing. Skills & Qualifications Experience in financial reporting, including bank reconciliations and balance sheets. Full-cycle accounting experience, including journal entries, general ledger, month-end processes, audits, and reconciliations. Construction industry experience is a huge plus. Strong software skills, including proficiency in Excel and ERP systems. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
