Director of Plant Operations

Overview Our client, a family-owned manufacturer of masonry products for residential and commercial applications, is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations in Maine . At this time our client is not able to offer any Sponsorship. Responsibilities Oversee manufacturing activities across two plants to ensure alignment with production targets and quality standards. Oversee daily manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Develop and implement comprehensive manufacturing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all manufacturing processes. Lead and mentor the manufacturing team(s), fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Manage budgets and financial performance related to manufacturing operations. Identify emerging trends and opportunities in the manufacturing industry and incorporate them into the company's strategic plans. Develop and execute long-term strategies to position the company for future growth and success, including driving innovation and the adoption of new technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role, with a high preference for experience within the construction or building materials industry. Experience with Concrete, PreCast or Block Manufacturing is a PLUS. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive operational improvements. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
