School Occupational Therapist - Okeechobee, Florida

You'll work onsite for 35 hours each week, closely collaborating with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Utilize your knowledge and creativity to deliver evidence-based interventions, foster students' independence, and support their participation across school activities. Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state
• Previous experience in a school setting is required
• Strong collaborative skills; comfortable supervising and working alongside a COTA
• Ability to create individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
• Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication with students, colleagues, and families
• Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and analyze student needs
• Develop and deliver targeted interventions in line with students' IEPs
• Work directly with students, individually and in groups, to address fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
• Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as a key team member
• Guide and oversee COTA activities ensuring high-quality service delivery
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to maximize student inclusion and success
