Position OverviewInternational is currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer Lead – S13 Assembly to join our Huntsville Engine Plant.Schedule: Monday through Thursday: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PMResponsibilitiesSupport S13 Diesel Engine Assembly Line in day-to-day production activities to help meet customer product demandReact to equipment uptime issues and drive towards permanent, cost-effective and long-term solutionsPerform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipmentStandardizes manufacturing processes by benchmarking other facilities’ manufacturing processesAssist in the accomplishment of plant quality and production objectivesLead implementation of engineering changes and variations from design specifications as well as new program developmentsPerform product/process analysis for safety/ergonomics, quality improvement and improved efficiencyInitiate, develop, and pursue capital appropriation projectsThis position is an active on the floor support position which could entail standing for long periods of timeMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in product manufacturingORMaster's degree and at least 1 year of experience in product manufacturingORAt least 5 years of experience in product manufacturingAdditional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)Desired SkillsStrong CAD experience, AutoCAD and NX Team Center preferredAbility to design and implement 3D printed tools and fixturesFamiliarity with assembly tools including Atlas Copco DC torque tools, Camera Vision Systems, AGV’s, etc.Must be proficient in computer usage including MS Office.Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, etc.Familiarity with quality tools and processes including 8D Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA, etc.Must have thorough mechanical understanding of machines, tools, vehicles, and their designAbility to travel up to 10%Must be able to work well in a dynamic manufacturing environment with positive attitude, ethics, and International ValuesMust demonstrate advanced reasoning skills, problem sensitivity, and data analysisMust have advanced mathematical skills; be able to use engineering judgment and critical thinkingMust demonstrate ability to be self-directedBenefits and CompensationThis position offers competitive market-based compensation, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee wellbeing.
